Chartered in June, 1993, Pack and Troop 2103 were created to fill a need in the Lompoc Valley to provide a quality program for boys in a supportive, Christian environment. We offer a program that takes a boy from First Grade to adulthood.
Cub Scout Pack 2103 is open to all boys that have completed Kindergarten (or 7 years old) through Fifth Grade (or 10 years old).
Boy Scout Troop 2103 is open to boys from 11 year old (or 10 1/2 with the Arrow of Light award from Cub Scouts) through 17 years old.
Our leaders are all trained volunteers and highly motivated. Many have completed Scouting's top level of training (Wood Badge). Both units have won multiple awards and have complete, active programs. We stand ready to help you get all you can from Scouting.
Parents are a key part of Scouting and make up the majority of our leaders. We also need parent volunteers to chair various activities. Your boy will get the most out of Scouting if you are involved with him. We have a monthly meeting for parents to help in planning and guiding our program. Please plan on participating. It really is FUN!
Boy Scout Troops are organized into Patrols of 6 - 8 boys. These patrols elect their own leadership and train together, camp together, and plan and cook their own meals together. All under supervision of the Troop youth leadership that are also elected by the boys. The adult leaders advise and intervene only when necessary. The adults provide training and support. In this way, the boys learn responsibility and trust of each other while gaining many life skills.
